There are many reasons why I love a good activated charcoal. Activated charcoal comes in many forms. Capsules, Powder, Liquid and sometimes even in a scrub. The product sent to me is 12oz of Activated Charcoal Powder.  (Side note: Use gloves when using this product, unless you like the look of a coal miner.)  This container comes with a little scoop to make it easier to use.  First I tried it as a teeth whitener.  Unfortunately, over the years and bad habits (Smoking), I don't have many teeth left, So I tortured my friend with this part.

Teeth Whitening: So the instructions tell you to place a small amount of charcoal powder on a wet, clean toothbrush and brush as you always would.  Then it says rinse well and use it as often as needed.  So here is my opinion here, we did Two tests.  Hum you ABC's as you brush. Try to Avoid your tongue.  (It doesn't taste good) Let it sit for about 45 seconds and THEN rinse. Gives the charcoal time to do its thing.  As you can see, there is a difference.  Do a charcoal brush before you do any whitening product.  They are so bad for your teeth.  

Pore Cleaner & Blackhead Remover: The whole reason why I wanted this product. Every where you look now, there is someone with a product to help with deep cleaning your pores and removing black heads and dead skin.  Here's the difference between those products and this way.  I can not even pronounce half the ingredients in those products.. and you want me to put that on my already sensitive skin.  I think not.  This way.. Two ingredients.  Activated Charcoal and Coconut Oil.  End of story. Its a wrap.  I see people doing it with Non-Toxic Elmers Glue.  While you can do that too, but there is one thing about Charcoal that they don't tell you on the bottles.  Charcoal pulls out all the water from your face. So unless you are drinking at least (4-6) 8 oz glasses of water during the 20-30 mins that you leave this on, I suggest using a product with the charcoal that helps your skin keep its water. Coconut Oil is an all natural aid in a TON of things I do.  ANYWAYS So Add about a tablespoon of coconut oil to something disposable.  Much easier clean up.  Add about a tablespoon maybe a tablespoon and a teaspoon of Activated Charcoal Powder to the cup and a few drops of water. Mix until its completely mixed in together, no bubbles.. a bursting charcoal bubble is no fun. Using a plastic spoon or brush to apply a thin layer of your new paste mask to your whole face.  Let it fully dry, you can try to peel.. sometimes it will sometimes it wont.  It will be ready to come off when the edges start lifting away from your face.  If it doesn't peel, simply wash off with warm water.   Have fun with you new baby's bottom smooth face and check out those pores.  They are to die for.  :)  This product is great for back acne too!!

(WARNING:  This can be addicting, Only use a charcoal mask once a month and more and you will be killing off the good stuff to your face or body)

Since its been awhile and I haven't posted any new reviews.  I thought I'd start with one I have received about a month ago and I LOVE IT.   The NutriBullet System.  All the good stuff blended up into a smoothie type drink.  We have used this for energy boosters.  No more energy drinks.  We have used it for making sure everyone is getting their daily fruits and vegetables in a sweet and delicious drink.  We absolutely LOVE NutriBullet.

TheraPearl - Pink Sports Pack 

I was recently sent TheraPearl's Sports Pack for review.  I love TheraPearl.  I like that I can heat it and make it cold all in the same pack.  These little gel beads absorb cold and heat well.  About 30 seconds in the microwave and you have a nice heat pack that last about an hour.  It takes a little longer for cold therapy, freeze at least 2 hours.  But the best thing about it, when TheraPearl is used for cold therapy, it stays smooth & pilable unlike old ice packs that get hard and pointy.

I wanted to review this product, because like most, I am too getting older. My lower back and my knee are only getting worse.  Especially on rainy days.  I was glued to my TheraPearl the first week I got it.  Used mainly as a heat back. It soothes tired achy muscles and makes it easier for me to get around.  It has become a very helpful tool. 

I have said it once, I will say it again, I love TheraPearl.

I give it a 10 out of 10.

I love Yak Pak.  Especially their bags.  Such a unique style.  When they started coming out with Dog accessories I was very excited.  I recently received the Yak Pak Rectractable Dog Leash in the mail.  I could not wait to try it out. It came with a cool doggy pick up poopy bag. 

 

I have a few pro's and con's about it.  :(  I orginally picked this leash because it said for puppies up to 77lbs.  I thought great, a new leash for my puppy Brooklyn, who is at 55lbs.  Nope Totally wrong.  Kept locking up bad. At one point I had to take it off her just to get the button to unlock.  So here is the good news.  As you can see above and below, I tried it with my other dog Piper, who is all of 13lbs.

 

Much better,  I could walk her with out any problems!! No locking, twisting. No issues at all. 

I took her out last night, sorry no pictures I have a crappy smartphone.  The light was helpful.  We could see where we were walking. Piper enjoyed it as well, She could see what was coming at her.

But all in the end, Piper was one happy puppy!

 

My rating for it so far:  7 out of 10.  Only because the package lies & its construction isnt that great.

Is it worth buying?  Yea, but only small dogs, Id say under 20lbs.  Anything more and I think you will run into the problem I had.  If your dog is a puller, this is not the product for you.

 

Like I said before, I very much enjoy Yak Pak's products!!! They need to make some small changes to the Doggy Dept, but other than that, their products, especially their bags!! Are well worth the price!!

We received the Lime green Aroma Ball!!  Two were sent to me. I gave one to my grandmom and kept one for myself.  After about a week, I called her and asked her what she thought.

She said the same thing as me.  The smell was still and strong as the first day, never smushed or flattened.  Has a very nice densitiy to it.  Is a very good ball to use to keep those fingers in movement.

My grandmom loves Aroma Ball.  She asked if I can get more. Each ball is 2 1/2" diameter

Imprinted Area on each ball is 1 3/8" diameter.

The only thing I didnt like about these stress balls, After squeezing them for a while, the smell stayed on my hands. 

Other than that no complaints.

So I figured since I wanted something different to give out at my wedding as thank yous, this would be a great idea.

We love them, matter of fact I bought two more for my friends.
